Mr. Sterrett’s BIO

Dean of Studies, Mr. Donald Sterrett, teaches history and Economics and coaches cross-country running. Prior to Woodhall, he served as Director of Instructional Coaching and Teacher Training and Chair of the Social Studies Department at The Principia School; he also sponsored the Model UN Club and coached Mock Trial and Mediation.  At Environmental High School in Lawndale, CA, he taught history and chaired the Social Studies department. Having spent most of his childhood in New York City, Mr. Sterrett went on to earn his B.A. in International Politics and Economics from Middlebury College. Additionally, he has a M.Ed. from National University in San Diego, CA, a M.A. in History from Pace University, and a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Northwest Missouri State University. He lives in Kavanaugh House with his mother, with whom he has co-authored a book on public speaking, and his labradoodle, Mozzie.
