The Abigail J. Woodhall Theatre, a state of the art theatre, opened in the fall of 2005, enabling the school to offer drama as a comprehensive afternoon activity — a “team sport”– and to provide further opportunities for student success in the arts. The ensemble experience allows students to sharpen the communication skills they will find useful in all aspects of their lives as well as to step out onto the stage—something many have not done since elementary school, if ever.

The Woodhall Players participate in the Seven Angels Theater Halo Awards, a regional secondary school drama competition. Since 2007, Woodhall has received 59 Halo nominations and won 15 Halo Awards.
